PUD LAND USE PERMITS:  An email was sent out to all members regarding the deadline for land-use applications on PUD property adjacent to your water-viewing property.  The Shore-line Group, consisting of the following:

We are available to assist all owners to take advantage of the opportunity to apply for lawn, desert plants, buoys, docks, picnic tables, etc.  Applications must be submitted by the end of the year.   We have completed packages that can be forwarded to you as examples of the applications.  Please contact one of us for additional forms if needed.

SUNLAND LIBRARY:   Lots of good reading material is available at the office.   Also, there is a big stack of jigsaw puzzles and a good selection of movies to choose from – DVD and VHS.  Everything is free to borrow.  You can also donate your unwanted books, movies and puzzles for others to enjoy.  Office hours 9am to 1pm Wednesday through Saturday.

PARK EQUIPMENT: A member donated several basketballs-adult and child sizes-that are available to borrow.  We also have pickle ball sets and horseshoes.  If anyone has a volleyball they don’t need we could use a couple.

GOLF CART INSPECTION: New golf cart owners may arrange for individual inspection and permitting directly through the sheriff’s office.  Call Sgt. Josh Sainsbury, Motor Traffic Unit, 509-754-2011 ext. 468 for an appointment.

ADULT SWIM:  When the pool is open for the season, the hours between 9am and 10am will be reserved for adults only for those who swim laps or participate in water aerobics, and will be open daily at 10am for all ages.

TENNIS COURT USE:  For the hardy tennis and pickle ball players, courts may be used this winter, weather permitting.

WATER AEROBICS:  Water aerobics will resume when the pool opens next Memorial Weekend.  Sessions are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9-10am.  Bring a ball and/or noodle to use with the program.

CLEAN Up CREW:  Thank you, Reyes Del Sol, for your hard work cleaning Sunland Road of trash.  (See article and pictures in newsletter)

HIGH-SPEED INTERNET SERVICE:  Frontier Communications recently completed installing fiber optic high speed broadband internet service locally.  Prices are reasonable, and service may be connected without local telephone service.   However you will  need a phone line installed at your Sunland home.
